With 22 years at Beachborough Prep, Dan Gross is a highly experienced teacher and a familiar face to many within the school community.
Over the years, he has contributed not only to the classroom but also to the wider life of the school.
Hi Dan, can you tell us a little about yourself – what you’re passionate about, your background and what makes you, you.
I enjoy a range of sports, particularly golf and five-a-side football. I also like anything that requires a bit of thought – cryptic crosswords are a regular pastime. I’m a Leyton Orient supporter, as I’m originally from London. Before joining Beachborough, I spent four years living in Milan, which was a really interesting experience.
What do you love the most about being part of the Beachborough team?
Working closely with colleagues and being part of a supportive team. There’s a good sense of collaboration, which makes things run smoothly day to day.
What inspired you to do what you do and what keeps you passionate about it today?
I’ve always enjoyed working with children. Early on, I was involved in leading youth clubs and summer camps, which I found incredibly rewarding, and that naturally led me into teaching – it’s something I’ve continued to find worthwhile ever since.
