This recognition reflects something we are deeply passionate about at Beachborough: combining outstanding teaching with innovative technology to create a learning environment where every child can thrive.

As a Microsoft Showcase School, technology is woven into everyday life across our school. It is not something that stands apart from learning; it is simply part of how learning happens. Pupils move naturally between discussion, practical activities, written work and digital tasks, using technology purposefully to support their understanding and progress.
Over the past year, our approach has continued to evolve. Digital tools help pupils respond to feedback in real time, refine their work independently and develop greater confidence in their own ability. In English, pupils draft, edit and reflect on their writing using a blend of traditional and digital methods, while in mathematics, adaptive learning platforms provide personalised challenge and support.
Technology also plays an important role in helping us create an inclusive learning environment. Tools such as speech-to-text and text-to-speech are available to all pupils, supporting independence and ensuring every child can access learning in a way that works for them.
Beyond the classroom, technology supports science investigations, fieldwork, creative projects and collaborative learning opportunities, helping pupils capture, reflect upon and share their learning in meaningful ways.
Importantly, we believe children should learn not only how to use technology, but also when to use it. Our balanced approach ensures digital tools complement, rather than replace, the many experiences that make a Beachborough education so special.
The award is a testament to the hard work of our staff and pupils, and to our commitment to preparing children for an increasingly digital world while remaining rooted in the values that have always defined a Beachborough education.
