Jack's words perfectly sum up the final day of Enrichment Week 2026. We were incredibly fortunate to welcome the @mercedesamgf1 team to Beachborough Prep, who brought with them the impressive 2026 W17 car along with a ...fantastic collection of Formula 1 memorabilia.
The children were overjoyed to wear Kimi Antonelli's gloves, sit in his seat from last year's car, and try on a selection of helmets. To round off an unforgettable experience, each child was presented with a Mercedes cap as a special keepsake of the morning.
A heartfelt thank you to our community of current parents working at Mercedes for making this extraordinary visit possible. It was a truly memorable way to conclude Enrichment Week, and we are incredibly grateful.

Today, Form V travelled to the @britishmotormuseum in Gaydon for an exciting day of discovery!
To kick-start the day, the children took part in a mini pit stop challenge, working together as a team in a hands-on exercise inspired by the fast-paced world of motorsport. Each group competed ...to see who could complete their pit stop tasks the quickest, testing their coordination, communication, and teamwork skills before taking their cars onto a mini track to race. This fun and competitive activity gave everyone a real taste of the precision and speed required in professional racing environments.
They then went on to explore the fascinating history of transport, journeying through time to discover how vehicles have evolved over the past century. From early motor cars to the advanced technology seen in modern vehicles, they learnt how design, engineering, and innovation have transformed the way we travel, gaining a deeper understanding of the significant changes that have shaped the automotive world.
Overall, it was a fantastic trip and a wonderful addition to what has already been a great week!

This week’s fixtures unfortunately had to be cancelled; however, that hasn’t stopped our children from making the most of their time outdoors.
Yesterday, a group of children ventured into the woods and got wonderfully creative. Drawing on everything they’ve learnt during Enrichment ...Week so far, they set themselves the challenge of building their very own racing cars using logs and branches they found around them.
While some designed beautiful creations on the woodland floor, others took things a step further by constructing impressive 3D models that were large enough to sit in!

Day 3 of Enrichment Week offered a fantastic range of opportunities, all linked to this year’s theme, Robots to Race Cars.
Form V enjoyed an exciting morning with PrepareRobo, taking part in hands-on workshops that included coding and building their own robots. Meanwhile, children in ...Forms VI and VII were inspired by two guest speakers: Alistair Gibson of @carbonart45 and Lorenzo Toniutti from @alpinef1team.
Alistair shared insights into his previous career in motorsport, where he rose to become Chief Mechanic for the BAR and Honda Grand Prix teams. He now channels his expertise into creating striking carbon fibre sculptures, including the trophy for the 2024 British Grand Prix.
Lorenzo Toniutti delivered an engaging talk about his journey into engineering and his current role as a Lead Engineer with the Alpine Racing F1 Team. He also brought along a race suit and helmet, giving pupils a memorable hands-on experience.

Last Sunday was a proud moment for Beachborough as former pupil Eddie H marked his final day at @eton.college. Mr and Mrs Gross were invited by Eddie's parents to join the celebrations and attend the Eton College Musical Society’s School Concert — a generous gesture that underlined the ...strong connection Eddie still feels to his Beachborough roots.
Eddie, whose name appears on one of our Honours Boards, has often spoken with heartfelt appreciation for his time at Beachborough, especially the support he received from Mrs Judith Dunkley, our former Director of Music. This early guidance helped him achieve the remarkable feat of securing a full music scholarship to Eton.
At the pre‑concert reception, it was clear how highly Eddie is regarded within the Eton community. His performance as lead violinist in the final summer concert was a superb culmination of his Eton journey and a powerful reminder of how far a Beachborough education can take a young person.
Eddie’s achievements reflect the talent, determination, and nurturing environment that define our school. We offer him our warmest congratulations and hope to welcome him back to inspire the next generation — and, we hope, to hear him play again within the Beachborough community!

Day 2 of Enrichment Week has been another success!
This morning, our Pre-Prep children worked with Mr Dimmock to code VEX robots, carefully programming step-by-step instructions and mapping out routes for their robots to follow. Meanwhile, Form V enjoyed a session with our very own Goblin ...expert, Mr Perronnet, who demonstrated how Goblin cars are built and raced. It was an inspiring experience, offering a valuable insight into what it takes to succeed as a Goblin.
Form V also took part in a variety of school-based challenges, including solving the ‘Mystery in the Pit Lane’ in English. In Maths, pupils explored a revolutionary game called Turing Tumble, building marble-powered mechanical computers to tackle logic puzzles. They also designed and raced their own balloon-powered rockets across the classroom!
Our Form VI and VII pupils took the short trip to @silverstonemuseum for an exciting day of discovery. They journeyed through the past, present, and future of British motorsport, learning about the engineering and technology that continue to shape the industry today.
Overall, it has been a brilliant day of engaging and purposeful learning across the school, and we are excited to see what Day 3 has in store!

Today was the first day of Enrichment Week 2026, with this year's theme being 'Robots to Race Cars'.
To kick the week off to a flying start, we welcomed STEMx, by Oracle @redbullracing. Our children discovered how Formula One cars are designed and built before taking part ...in a variety of engaging, hands-on activities. A standout moment was the Pit Stop Challenge, where our Beachburians tested their skills at changing F1 tyres. While we didn’t quite match the professionals’ remarkable two-second record, one team came impressively close with a time of just five seconds!
Other activities included coding robots to navigate the Monaco and Silverstone race circuits, as well as building and racing miniature cars to highlight the importance of precision and thoughtful design.

Today, the entire school has come together to take part in an exciting new charity event: Move & Groove!
We asked children to come to school in bright, colourful sportswear, ready to stay active and enjoy a day full of fun. Throughout the day, each year group has been rotating through ...a carousel of activities, including dancing, obstacle courses, circuits and relay challenges.
This fantastic effort is all in support of our main school charity, Mary’s Meals. We are aiming to raise £5,000, which would provide meals for 260 pupils for a whole year at our sponsored school in Malawi.
A special thank you goes to current parent, Ceri, for leading today’s energetic dance sessions and inspiring everyone to truly move and groove!
