Kitchen Assistant
Part-Time | 20 hours per week | Term Time + 7 Days
Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 7:00pm
Beachborough School is seeking a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our busy and welcoming catering team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality meals and refreshments to pupils, staff and visitors across the School.
Working alongside our Catering Manager and chefs, you will assist with food preparation and service, support the smooth running of the kitchen, maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and help ensure excellent service throughout the school day. The role will also involve preparing and delivering snacks, supporting meal service and maintaining awareness of food allergies and dietary requirements.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Is customer service focused and enjoys working with people.
- Has a positive, flexible and proactive approach.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Holds, or is willing to work towards, food hygiene and allergy awareness qualifications.

Health & Safety Compliance & Operations Manager
Permanent, Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Beachborough School is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Compliance & Operations Manager to lead and oversee the school’s compliance, health & safety, data protection, and operational support functions. Reporting directly to the Bursar, you will play a key role in ensuring the school operates safely, responsibly, and in accordance with all relevant legislation and best practice
Working closely with the Bursar, Deputy Head (Operations) and Estates Manager, you will be responsible for driving a positive health and safety culture, managing compliance across the school, overseeing operational support within your remit, and leading the Housekeeping Team and Caretaker. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and collaborative professional with strong compliance and operational management experience to make a significant impact across a busy and successful school environment.
