Beachborough School Trust is a registered charity no. 309910. This means that Beachborough School makes an annual return to the Charities Commission detailing the school’s activities and accounts.
The Headmaster reports to a Governing body who are Trustees of the Charitable Trust. They leave the day to day running of the school in his hands but advise, through committees, on finance, health and safety and risk.
There are currently fourteen governors drawn from many walks of life so that they make up a body of advice which is valuable to the Headmaster. There is a Chairman of Governors and always at least two parent governors on the board which meets once a term with the Headmaster and the Bursar. One governor is the nominated Child Protection Adviser and another the person who would consider any concerns which parents may have, that remain unresolved through the school’s Complaints Procedure.
The school is run on a strict business plan as the school is a not for profit organisation. Over the last decade the school has invested over one and a half million pounds in its facilities. Through careful planning and award winning creative thinking, the boarding facilities having been beautifully refurbished through sponsorship from six local senior schools and a superb new 700m2 sports hall has been built from very generous private funding.
