Form V spent an interactive lesson this week investigating length, mass and capacity.
They rotated between three activities measuring the mass of different objects, reading scales on measuring beakers and cylinders and finding perimeters of shapes formed using people and string.
Form VII’s introduction to the maths topic of bearings involved an outdoor orienteering activity designed by Mr Smith. The sun shone whilst the whole year group worked in small teams following compass bearings and measuring distances to find 15 individual letters placed around the grounds, which ultimately spelt one very long word!
Form VI have had a fraction week revisiting the four basic operations through fun activities such as fraction jigsaws.
