On Tuesday 3rd May Pre-Prep Two headed off to Woodrow High House for their very first residential. There was a definite air of excitement on the coach and the children arrived raring to go.
After a quick tour around the house the children started by swimming in the pool and playing team games in the sports hall. Packed lunches were devoured swiftly after that and the afternoon saw the children either orienteering, taking part in the low ropes or night line. Thankfully the sun shone and everyone really enjoyed themselves. After a rocket building session where the ‘furious Ferrari’ flew sky high, the children were taken to their rooms and started the process of making their beds. This is always a very amusing process and this year was no exception! After supper we headed back out for a campfire with lots of jokes and songs and the children then headed off to bed. The excitement levels were high and for many it took a while to settle.
The next morning, after a delicious cooked breakfast we were off again, completing the activities we had not yet tried and enjoying the gorgeous sunshine that shone for us. The children really focussed on their collaborative skills on this trip and regularly amazed the instructors with their use of our intellectual characteristics. Well done PP2 – a great trip.
