Form I & II Trip to PGL

This week Forms I and II headed off on their exciting residential trip to PGL Liddington. Although there were a few nervous faces on arrival at school that morning, it wasn’t long before the concerns had turned to excitement. On arrival we were met by Jack (who had
blue and pink hair!) and Elliot, our groupies, who looked after us for the next two days. We set straight off into our activities and, depending on which group you were, then Abseiling, Trapeze, Tunnel Trail or Raft Building were the challenge for the day. The first night was finished off with a campfire and numerous songs, which the children have been singing ever since! The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, we were off again with activities that had not been completed from the day before with additions such as Vertical challenge, Aeroball and Zip Wire thrown in as well. However the highlight of the second day had to be the disco. Time was spent getting hair ‘just right’ and party clothes were
worn with pride! The moves that were then shown on the dance floor were fabulous and one child in our group even managed to have a large circle of children from another school transfixed with his ‘worm’ and ‘robot’ moves! On the final day, after another delicious breakfast, we were off to finish our activities. We left the centre at 2pm and I truly believe every child had challenged themselves and pushed themselves in some way or another during their stay. The level of determination and enthusiasm was wonderful to see. Only 365 days (approximately!) until we can go again. Report by Sophie Banks
