The Parents Association is a valuable and important part of our school. It raises funds for the school and organises social events which many parents enjoy. Officers are elected each September, and any parent wishing to become a member of the committee should contact a current committee member. Among the usual calendar events are the fireworks night, summer ball, quiz night and jollies.
In terms of involvement, Beachborough School prides itself on its family atmosphere and part of that is to do with the relationship between staff and parents. We do not, as a rule, encourage parents to help in the classroom, but do encourage them to become involved in trips, BA events and sporting activities. There are regular events run by the Beachborough Association.
There are, of course, regular Parent / Teacher Interview. Each class group has a BA representative. They often organise social events to which you may be invited; go if you can, because it is all part of the bridge building process.
Parents should be encouraged to watch their children whether in plays, concerts or sports fixtures because this fosters interest in and loyalty to the school.
Beachborough School has a good relationship with the local community, based on the desire to establish links with both industry and local people. Most of our staff and parents are from the direct locality. Various schools and local groups use our facilities, some regularly. We have a good links with local schools and churches. We host a Primary Schools Football and Netball tournament and often play local state schools at various sports.
Beachborough School regularly lends tables, chairs and even crockery to local groups such as the Horticultural Society and has on many occasions made our facilities available for use by local societies. In 2000 the village use our grounds to assemble for a millennium photograph.
We belong to The Luffield group, which consists of a number of state and private school in the Buckingham and Brackley area, that co-ordinate a series of events during the academic year such as Science days, Maths Days, and a major Music and Drama concert in the Summer term.
Early years link group meetings are also held at Beachborough
