Clara’s Recital in aid of the Beachborough Wetlands project

In a week that was full of music, Clara hosted a recital in aid of the Beachborough Wetlands project in the PAC on Tuesday evening. From the start there was a really special atmosphere as all of Form VII, family members, staff and some old Beachburians were thoroughly entertained by Clara’s performance singing and playing the piano.

Clara is undoubtedly a talented musician but the event also showcased what can be achieved by passion, hard work and creativity. Clara performed a short set including songs by Adele and Ed Sheeran but perhaps most impressive was a song of her own composition ‘Autumn Lullaby’ (now the winner of the Club Music Composition class). She finished off with a performance of Emilie Sande’s “Read all about it” that clearly moved everyone in the audience.

As well as being musically very impressive, it was clear that so many of Clara’s friends and family had contributed by organising an amazing array of cakes and drinks for everyone to enjoy afterwards. At the end of the evening an amazing £200.50 had been raised for the project. Well done Clara!
