Beachborough School News 6 May 5

IAPS National Swimming Championships

Last term Beachborough entered the IAPS Regional Swimming Championships, competing at a round held at Aldwickbury School in Hertfordshire.

Other regional qualifying events took part around the country throughout the duration of the Spring Term as well. Race times for all of the events that took place were recorded at each regional event and entered into the IAPS’ database.

Morgan T, will be Beachborough’s lone representative in the IAPS
Nationals which take place this Saturday 7th May at the K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley, West Sussex.  Morgan recorded a time of 16.54 seconds for the U12 Boys 25m butterfly at the Regionals which ensured that he is the 7th fastest qualifier going into the Nationals
in this event.

Outside school, Morgan continues to put the hours in training and swimming for Northampton Swimming Club and will be attending the Regionals at the end of May. He has also secured the qualifying times for the Welsh Summer Championships.

Morgan deserves huge congratulations on securing a place at the IAPS
Nationals this weekend. He will be up against the best swimmers in the
country that attend fellow IAPS schools and we wish him every success with that and all of his upcoming swimming commitments.
