Junior Schools Singing Day at Tudor Hall

It was a fantastic day at Tudor Hall on Tuesday where 20 Form V children collaborated with pupils from other local schools to learn words, dance moves and rehearse a wide variety of music.

This included an African welcome song, sacred repertoire and some modern songs and styles – including a very enthusiastic performance of “What makes you beautiful” by One Direction! A big thank you must go to Mrs Lea-James, director of music, for inviting us to what was such an enjoyable event. The day ended with a concert for parents and friends and I would like to thank Beachborough parents for attending this event. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all, children, parents and teachers alike. In the words of the children the day was “amazing, awesome and entertaining!”

Singing has the ability to allow instant bonding amongst strangers and this was certainly proven by watching the children feed off each other’s enthusiasm throughout the day.
