Beachborough Night at the Musicals

A fabulous night at the musicals

On Wednesday evening we were treated to a fabulous ensemble of songs from a variety of musicals. Our Star Guest Elizabeth Miller filled the Theatre with amazing renditions of ‘Maybe this time’ from Cabaret and ‘I dreamed a dream’ from Les Miserables. The children sat mesmerised as her voice filled the Theatre and raised goose bumps! Elizabeth Miller and the audience were just as captivated and astounded by the quality of the children’s singing. The Theatre was silent as Emma sang ‘Somewhere over the rainbow’ and Rafe sang ‘Stars’ from Les Miserables. Lucy and the Form VI backing vocal group sang ‘Any dream will do’ from Joseph beautifully in harmony and Emily’s magnificent ‘Defying Gravity’ from Wicked met with rapturous applause. Congratulations to Mrs Thurman and The Hits Squad for their fabulous first performance of ‘You’re never fully dressed without a smile’ from Annie.
This event was really special and raised an amazing £423. Thank you to all those who supported this event in aid of our school charity Greenfingers.
