Beachborough Tim Paine Australian cricketer

Visit from Australian cricketer Tim Paine

On Friday 24th April Form I and II had an unexpected treat at their monthly Discovery Lecture. Having prepared themselves firstly for a Rugby session and then for Hockey coaching, they were thrilled to find they were going to be getting some cricketing tips from Tim Paine. An Australian cricketer, Tim became the youngest-ever contracted player in Australia at 16 years of age. Tim made his debut for Australia in 2009 against England, and in the series’ sixth match, he scored his maiden international century. Tim is currently coaching with Magdalen College School in Oxford and kindly offered to give some of our younger children some cricket coaching. A huge thank you to Matt Bull, Head of Sport at Magdalen College School for arranging this extraordinary opportunity and to Tim Paine for signing no end of cricketing equipment!
