On Tuesday 28th April I took 17 children to Tudor Hall School in Banbury for a wonderful day of music making. We joined 60 other children from local prep schools and primary schools to form one very large orchestra. We rehearsed all morning as a whole orchestra and in sectionals and the day ended with a concert for parents and friends. Concert repertoire included: La Rejouissance from Handel’s Royal Firework Music; Gavotte 1 from Bach’s Suite No 3; Jupiter from Holst’s Planets. A good day was had by all and I would like to thank Tudor Hall music dept for hosting us and the children for behaving in such an exemplary manner.
