Beachborough Bedford School Science

Science Lecture at Bedford School

A group of children from Form III and Form V attended a science lecture at Bedford School this week. We watched many experiments and learnt so much as it was really exciting and very interesting. I found making ice-cream using liquid nitrogen very fascinating. We watched the scientist blow up balloons filled with hydrogen and make jelly babies scream! Lots of people volunteered to help with a variety of experiments. I volunteered to put bubbles with chemicals onto my hand, then the scientist used a big stick to light the end of it with a bunsen burner. As soon as the flame touched the bubbles they blew up making a very loud noise. The trip to Bedford School was such an amazing experience I was really glad I came. Report by Kia (Form III)
