Beachborough Swimming Gala

Success at Swimming Gala

The Beachborough School swimming team travelled to Maidwell Hall on Thursday. There were 26 swimmers in the following age groups U11 boys and girls, U12 boys, U13 both boys and girls. The team captains, Molly and Finlay, ensured that the team spirit was high and organised the swimmers into the correct order prior to their events. Some of the swimmers were representing Beachborough in the pool for the first time so it was great for them to gain some race experience. The girls had some outstanding wins and were rewarded with winning their competition. Some of the boys were swimming against boys two years older than them. Consequently, they were challenged from the start but raced well to push the Maidwell boys close in each of the races. Congratulations to all the swimmers who raced with great team spirit and achieved some fantastic results.

Beachborough Sharks continues to grow and it is fantastic to see so many children getting more technically correct as their swimming progresses. The IAPS Regionals is our next swimming event in late February and we look forward to that!
