Beachborough Pre-Prep Medieval Banquet

Pre-Prep 1 Medieval Banquet

On Friday 28th November the children, staff and parents of Pre-Prep One enjoyed a magnificent feast and festivities in Ye Olde Library. We were welcomed by the Lord of the Manor, Mr Sanders accompanied by his elegant Lady of the Manor, Mrs Banks. The children told us about what eating in medieval times would have been like and we were entertained by our resident jester, Mr Banks, who enthralled us with his amazing juggling skills. The food was ably served by Mrs McNally, Mrs. Andrews, Mrs Mullen and Ms Agutter and everyone was delighted to be transported back in time. The children then took to the floor to perform two nursery rhymes that were thought to have originated in medieval times. Congratulations to the two brave fathers, who entered into the spirit of the occasion by participating in the Lord of the Manor’s ‘Show of Strength’. Many thanks for all who helped make this such a successful event for the end of our ‘Castles’ topic. ‘A Westbury! A Westbury!’ Report by Wench Jessica McNally
