Anne Maskell

Volunteers in Tanzania

In August one of our Governors and Parents, Anne Maskell and old girl Holly Killick travelled to Tanzania to live and work in a local community. As part of a group of 20 people they undertook a building project to dig trenches and lay pipes to connect a water system, put a roof on a kitchen building, paint the local school buildings and teach English,
Art, Music and Sports at the local school which has 160 students aged 4 – 13. The
opportunity to live in a local community and see first hand the positive impact
volunteering can make was amazing and very fulfilling for both of them and a
follow up visit with Max is already being planned!
